This was a great movie. I have to admit I wasn’t a fan of the last Ice Age movie. I’m kind of surprised they tried to do another, but I’m really glad they did. The plot was good and kept the story moving. In addition, the action comedy and comic relief from the scrat creature was fabulous. The female scrat creature was fabulous as well. It added a great sub plot.

My favorite character was the new Buckley. Somehow I seemed to relate to him. Probably because he was insane. Nonetheless he was hilarous. Cheers Simon Pegg for a fabulous voice.

I also liked the animation in the movie. There are some detailed scenes in the movie where the dinosaurs live that are pretty spectacular and a bit of a departure from the typical white ice seen in the rest of the movie.

My kids got some of the McDonalds toys and at least now I know that Rudy is a giant white dinosaur and the villain in the story. I don’t want to leave too many spoilers, but you will certainly enjoy this movie with your kids.

Movies like this tend to be even better when viewed with a large audience of kids. Overall A+

Simply awesome. The acting was phenomenal. All of the actors did an excellent job of keeping with the spirit of the characters, but also not copying them and making them relevant and modern at the same time. The deep references to other parts of the Star Trek universe will keep every Star Trek fan going over the movie again and again to mine for more hidden gems of hidden references.

I love the reference to captain Archer’s beagle. That was outstanding.

At two hours it was long, but I was loving every minute so it actually seemed short. The pace was quick and kept you wanting more and more.

Zac Quinto proved to be an excellent Spock. His mastery of his own emotion was phenomenal. He went from rage to cool and collected like a champ.

I’m not a big fan of messing with time travel as it can screw with your head or manipulate story lines in ways that seem almost unfair, but I think this movie did a good job of making it so they couldn’t keep jumping through time and minimized the ridiculous effect that time travel has in some stories. All in all excellent movie. I will definitely consider seeing this again.

This movie got totally dumped on by critics, but it opened to 87 million. Not too shabby. You know why? Because Wolverine is awesome and Hugh Jackman is the perfect actor and everyone has loved the Wolverine story since they were a kid. You know what I say to the critics, “Bitch PLeezE”. I hope you like the pic and be sure to see the movie. Yahoo movie reviewers gave it a B+ which considering the hard way to go it has been given I would say is pretty good.

I loved the original and am totally psyched about having a chance to relive my youthful glory days with this action packed film. Vin Diesel is living large and I’m glad the girl from Lost got over her drinking problem and has a second chance at doing some acting. This is sure to be a classic.

A person’s a person, no matter how small.”

That about sums up Horton’s approach to the world on a speck. He tries to convince the rest of his world that the speck is as important as they are.

I personally thought the movie was entertaining, but it didn’t seem to have the spark or spirit of Dr. Seuss. The character that came alive for me was Kangaroo with the voice of Carol Burnett. Kangaroo made a point of trying to keep the status quo and wouldn’t consider the notion of a world on a speck.

Give me a movie that seems more like a Dr. Seuss book throughout, rather than feeling like animation with quotes from Dr. Seuss thrown in to keep with the theme and title.

How do you think it compared with other animated fare over the last year or so?

After watching the biography of the “Mayor of Castro Street”, I got to wondering how different things might be if Harvey Milk and Mayor Moscone hadn’t been killed by Dan White:

Would Harvey have eventually become the mayor of San Francisco? Dianne Feinstein?

Would Mayor Moscone become the governor of California? Who would have lost to him?

What if Harvey had become a senator from California? – Equal Rights?

Things could really be different if only…

Those of us who were taught history as a series dates of wars or battles, 1776 gives us an opportunity to learn history as it should be tought. We learn of the problems that John Adams had getting a Declaration of Independence and his love and affection for Abigail.

Thomas Jefferson was a young farmer who swept his bride off her feet by playing the violin. At one point Adams comes up with a plan for Thomas Jefferson to get a conjugal visit from his wife so that Jefferson could make more progress on the Declaraion without distraction.

Throughout the movie we learn of the foibles and personalities of our forefathers and find out just how close we came to not having this great country. One thing is for certain, Congress really never changes.

Over the years I’ve watched the movie so many times that I know the words to all of the songs and most of the dialog. This is a fun movie. If you get a chance to go to a midnight showing with hard core fans, do it! You will have the most fun you’ve had at a movie in a long time.

It’s fun to see the subtle pokes at conventional law school when Elle pulls out her feather pen and heart shaped spiral notebook. When she really gets serious, she gets a pink laptop. This is a fun at home movie where the good gal wins!
